SS-31
Longevity & Mitochondrial · 10 mg fill · Research Peptide
A mitochondria-targeting tetrapeptide that concentrates on the inner membrane through an affinity for cardiolipin.
Overview
SS-31 (Szeto-Schiller peptide 31, elamipretide) is a synthetic tetrapeptide, D-Arg-Dmt-Lys-Phe-NH2, that accumulates in the inner mitochondrial membrane by binding cardiolipin. Published work describes stabilised cristae architecture, reduced reactive-oxygen-species leakage and altered ATP-synthesis efficiency. The pharmaceutical formulation is a separate ready-to-use product; research-grade lyophilized material is not that product. Supplied for in-vitro research use.
